Sinton and Agribid Invest $50 Million in India's Logistics and Warehousing

Sinton Vantage Trading, a global commodity trading firm based in Singapore, and Agribid Private Limited, an agritech startup, have announced a strategic partnership. This collaboration aims to transform commodity procurement in the agriculture sector. As stated by the companies, the partnership plans to raise up to $50 million in equity and debt to develop warehousing and establish facilities at India's top four seaports.

The project will enable the partnership to provide an all-encompassing solution to the value chain participant. It will aim to boost the export of Agri commodities through PACS and FPOs. “We are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead through our collaboration with Agribid. By joining hands, we can combine our strengths to address the evolving needs of the South East Asia agricultural sector. Together, we will strive to deliver value and drive sustainable development", Rajinder Singh, Sinton’s chairman and CEO, said in a statement.

According to the statement, the collaboration between Sinton and Agribid aims to enhance sustainability in the agricultural sector and create a lasting impact on the nation's agricultural industry. Ashutosh Mishra, CEO, Agribid, said that the partnership represents a convergence of strengths, as "we combine our expertise in agricultural commodities with Sinton's innovative solutions". "Together, we aim to drive positive change and contribute to the sustainable development and agricultural sector", he added.

Under the agreement, Sinton Agribid Indonesia will be responsible for supplying and delivering high-quality agricultural commodities to companies in the Southeast Asian nation that are connected to the government over the next five years. "The objective is to harness synergies from areas of expertise, resources and networks in order to ensure food security in Indonesia and other Southeast Asian countries", the statement said. The project will allow the partnership to offer a comprehensive solution to value chain participants and further enhance the export of agricultural commodities.
