SMART Technologies Unveils Transformative Interactive Displays in India
SMART Technologies has announced its entry into the Indian market, unveiling the SMART Board MX Series and SMART Board GX Series interactive displays. Leveraging over 35 years of global experience in interactive technology and partnering with local distributors, SMART is set to make a significant impact on Indian education. With locally manufactured products and customized educational content, SMART is well-positioned to enhance India's education system with technology designed to drive positive outcomes and support the transformation of learning environments.
SMART’s interactive displays and software are designed to make learning dynamic and engaging, offering intuitive features that save teachers time and captivate students. Developed in-house, SMART displays come with unique features and options, such as SMART iQ with the MX Series—an embedded computing solution tailored for education that is user-friendly from the start. These displays offer various options for student interaction and upgradability, distinguishing them from competitors. Additionally, SMART displays are energy-efficient, durable, and adaptable, evolving to meet the changing needs of the classroom.
The company is setting up manufacturing operations in Andhra Pradesh, boosting its production capabilities and underscoring its commitment to the Indian market. SMART is collaborating with one of India’s largest Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) providers, known for their proven expertise in producing Interactive Flat Panels to meet rigorous quality standards. This local initiative is a crucial step in optimizing supply chains, enhancing manufacturing efficiency, and promoting economic growth in the region.
Jeff Lowe, Executive Vice President, SMART Technologies, stated, “As pioneers and leaders in the interactive touch technology space, our launch in India is a testament to our commitment to this dynamic market. Our promise is to help teachers, students, and education leaders create connections that matter, and we’re thrilled to bring this promise, and our leading products, to the millions of students and teachers here in India. Needless to say, SMART is here to stay and we look forward to working with schools and organizations across the country”.
SMART is also excited to announce the establishment of three inaugural SMART Exemplary Schools in India. These schools join over 35 global institutions recognized for their innovative use of educational technology to achieve positive learning outcomes. GEI’s Subhedar Wada Medium School in Mumbai, Surana High Tech International School in Chennai, and Sense Kaleidoscopes in Bengaluru will soon be formally honored as SMART Exemplary Schools, marking the first time this prestigious designation has been awarded in the country. SMART interactive displays will be on display for hands-on demonstrations this week at InfoComm at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, and at Didac India from Sept 18-20 at the Yashobhoomi in New Delhi.
