Sony Pictures Networks India (SPN) has extended its four-year worldwide media rights arrangement with Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) from April 2023 to March 2027.

SPN currently has the broadcast rights to the England and Wales Cricket Board and the Pakistan Cricket Board as a result of the cooperation renewal with SLC.

Over the length of the arrangement, the broadcaster will exclusively televise and live stream senior men's cricket matches hosted by SLC. Sony has exclusively the pay-television rights in Sri Lanka.

India, Australia, England, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa, the West Indies, Ireland, and Afghanistan will tour Sri Lanka during the four-year rights cycle.

In 2024 and 2026, the Indian cricket team will play Sri Lanka at home. Following a two-year layoff, Team India will play three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty-Twenty-Innings (T20Is) against Sri Lanka in July 2024. In August 2026, Team India will return to Sri Lanka for their first Test series (2 matches) in the country since 2017.

Rajesh Kaul, Chief Revenue Officer - Distribution & International Business and Head - Sports Business, Sony Pictures Networks India: “We are happy to extend our long-standing and successful partnership with Sri Lanka Cricket. The current Asian cricket champion, Sri Lanka, is a formidable team in the continent and the extended partnership with Sri Lanka Cricket will engage cricket fans across markets.
