Stellantis N.V. emerged from the merger of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and PSA Group, functioning as a multinational automaker headquartered in Amsterdam. On October 26, 2023, Stellantis invested €1.5 billion to acquire an approximate 20% stake in Leapmotor, a Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer. This investment granted Stellantis exclusive rights for the sale, export, and production of Leapmotor's products outside China through the newly established joint venture, Leapmotor International.
