Summit Digitel to deliver tower infrastructure to Airtel
Summit Digitel has inked an agreement with Bharti Airtel to provide its tower infrastructure for the telco’s wireless network rollouts.
“Summit Digitel today announced an agreement with Bharti Airtel wherein, Airtel will utilize Summit Digitel’s tower infrastructure as part of its wireless network rollouts,” the tower infrastructure provider said in a media statement on Monday.
“We are pleased to partner with Summit Digitel and leverage their passive infrastructure as we expand our high-speed networks across the country. We look forward to a longstanding partnership with Summit Digitel,” said Randeep Sekhon, Chief Technology Officer, Bharti Airtel.
“It is our commitment to provide outstanding services to Airtel that result in uninterrupted service across the entire nation,” said Dhananjay Joshi, MD, and CEO of Summit Digitel.
Summit Digitel claims to manage over 151,000 active sites, with the number growing across the nation. While providing nationwide coverage for 4G, the towers are strategically located for the implementation of 5G.
