Surjo Dutt Named as Chief Creative officer by Dentsu Creative India

Dentsu Creative India has named Surjo Dutt as chief creative officer for the West and South regions, effective September 1, 2023.

According to the mandate, Dutt will spearhead creative excellence at Dentsu Creative India, leading the charge in aligning with the agency's global vision, according to a press release from the company. He will work closely with the creative teams to create transformative solutions that harness the power of modern creativity to elevate brands and fuel business growth, according to the announcement.

Dutt has worked on over 400 campaigns across 70 brands and 20 categories in his 24 years of experience. He was the former chief creative officer at FCB India and was instrumental in the agency's success story in the country.

Prior to that, as national creative director - North, Dutt oversaw the establishment and growth of Sapient Nitro's advertising business. He also contributed significantly as JWT's vice president and executive creative director (ECD).

Dutt's clients have included Pepsi, Frito Lay, Hero Motocorp, GSK, Google, Uber, Vistara, Dominos, Pernod Ricard, Nokia, Airtel, Nestle, and British Airways, to name a few.

Dutt will report to Amit Wadhwa, CEO of Dentsu Creative India, in his new position.
