Tata Communications is expected to invest more than $ 200 million in FY26.

For the past few fiscal years, the Tata group company has been investing approximately $ 200-300 million annually.

"The capex investments would be around the same lines," its managing director and chief executive A S Lakshminarayanan said.

The communications technology company, which introduced a cloud service named "Vayu" on Thursday, invests in various areas, including subsea cables each year, according to Lakshminarayanan.

The firm has been spending over $ 50 million annually on its cloud services division alone for the last three years, the CEO stated.

The company is consistently focused on expanding its subsea cable network but tends not to disclose all of its initiatives, he noted.

In addition to that, the company also invests in customer interaction solutions and holds a minority stake in a joint venture focused on data centers, according to him.

Bhaskar Gorti, the executive vice president for cloud and cybersecurity services, mentioned that the Vayu solution can provide cost reductions of up to 30 percent compared to competitors.

The CEO highlighted that, unlike the existing approach where businesses must engage multiple vendors, Vayu presents an integrated solution that results in cost efficiencies.
