TCS Names Suresh Muthuswami As Chairman For North America

Surya has worked with TCS for over 17 years. Suresh, who is currently the President of TCS North America, will take over as Chairman, TCS North America from April 1, 2022. "Surya(Sury) has been an integral part of TCS for the last four decades as a leader in many geographies and currently serves as Chairman, TCS North America. Having spent over 43 years in TCS, he will be retiring at the end of this financial year", said TCS, in a statement.
"We would like to thank Sury for his tremendous contributions to building TCS and wishing him the very best in whatever he does. While he is leaving his role at TCS, he will have a special place in TCS forever. We would also like to wish Suresh, Amit and Vivek the very best in their new roles", said TCS.
Taking over Suresh's role will be Amit Bajaj, who will assume the role of President of TCS North America. Amit has worked with TCS for 24 years across various global roles and was most recently heading the US and UK markets. R Vivekanand, who currently heads TCS Financial Solutions, will head the Banking Financial Services& Insurance (BFSI) platforms business.
Vivek anand has worked with TCS for over 29 years.
The BFSI segment comprises almost 40 percent of TCS revenue(including platform and emerging market offerings)while North America comprises 49 percent of TCS'$25 billion annual revenue.
