Tata Consultancy Services announced on Aug 13 that it has signed a contract with Lexmark, a imaging and IoT solutions provider, to transform its enterprise applications, accelerate its cloud journey, and expand its innovation programme. The financials of the transaction were not disclosed.

TCS will relocate Lexmark's complex on-premise workloads to the public cloud and create a new cloud operating model. As part of this transformation, TCS is constructing a new digital core powered by SAP S4/HANA, changing business operations and user experience across finance, order to cash, and supply chain functions. TCS will design a command centre to monitor critical business processes from start to finish across the operations stack, including applications, data, infrastructure, and networks.

In addition, TCS will establish an Agile Innovation Cloud. TCS's innovation team will collaborate closely with Lexmark's product teams to systematically accelerate the ideation to execution process.

Finally, TCS will assist Lexmark in bringing its Optra platform, which connects IoT device data to core business systems, to manufacturing and retail clients around the world. "For over two decades, TCS has been a strategic partner in our digital transformation journey, driving our vision to pioneer innovative imaging and IoT solutions while sustaining growth momentum," said Vishal Gupta, Lexmark's chief information and technology officer.
