TechTech Mahindra and Google Cloud have announced a strategic collaboration aimed at accelerating the use of generative AI (GenAI) within Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) as part of their digital transformation efforts. This alliance will integrate advanced AI and machine learning technologies into various aspects of M&M's operations, including engineering, supply chain management, pre-sales, and after-sales services.

Tech Mahindra plans to harness AI and ML to enhance several operational areas for M&M. Rucha Nanavati, Chief Information Officer at Mahindra Group, commented, “Partnering with Google Cloud is a significant step in setting new standards for customer experience through AI-powered insights”.

Google Cloud will help M&M detect anomalies in the manufacturing process, which will improve operational reliability, optimize energy use, and enhance vehicle safety, ultimately boosting the overall customer experience. Bikram Singh Bedi, Vice President and Country Managing Director at Google Cloud, noted, “We are dedicated to providing M&M with secure cloud infrastructure and advanced AI tools to support their digital transformation”.

The collaboration will also involve the development of AI-powered applications for critical business functions, and Tech Mahindra will manage various workloads, including enterprise applications and simulators.

Atul Soneja, Chief Operating Officer of Tech Mahindra, highlighted that the partnership reinforces their commitment to helping businesses grow rapidly by unlocking new value through AI and ML insights. “Integrated data platforms and cloud solutions are essential for driving innovation and gaining valuable insights”, Soneja added.

In 2023, Tech Mahindra opened a delivery center in Guadalajara, Mexico, specializing in Google Cloud solutions to assist customers in modernizing infrastructure and managing workloads with advanced cloud and open-source technologies.
