Tiger Global and Flipkart to back Rishi Vasudev's new venture Goat Brands Lab Global giant Tiger Global has announced its investment funding for Rishi Vasudev’s latest fashion and retail start-up named GOAT Brands Labs, which will obtain lifestyle brands and help them build as well as grow online. Tiger Global is said to have led GOAT Brand Labs’ first venture round of 20 million, which also present contribution from Mayfield and Flipkart’s venture fund.

Rishi Vasudev, co-founder, and CEO of GOAT Brand Labs is an expert fashion retail executive who has formerly headed Flipkart’s fashion business, Lifestyle International, Home Center, and Calvin Klein India. Rishi has also been linked with several other fashion brands like Madura Fashion & Lifestyle by Aditya Birla Group and Arvind Brands. He played as the CEO of Lifestyle and Home Centre for a year, before officially starting up GOAT Brand Labs earlier this month (May 2021).

GOAT Brand Labs will pursue the footsteps of a US-based Thras.io, which is the world’s largest acquirer of third-party private label brands on Amazon. Founded by Carlos Cashman and Josh Silberstein, the US-based company has procured over 100 brands on Amazon, within three years of its stabilized. The company is said to be cost-effective and generated revenue of 200 Mn in about 18 months of operations. It has raised 1.7 Billion capitals across debt and equity rounds and is valued at 3 Billion - 4 Billion.
