Turquoise Hill Resources Ltd, a Canadian mineral exploration and development company appoints Jo-Anne Dudley as it Chief Operating Officer.

Anne possesses 25 years of rich experience in the mining industry. For the past nine years she has served the OyuTolgoi technical team, which is responsible for the development of world scale copper gold mine in Mongolian consultation in collaboration with Turquoise Hill. Lately, Anne has even led Oyu Tolgoi’s -person Strategic Mine and Resources Planning unit.

Before joining Oyu Tolgoi, Anne had also served Rio Tinto’s technical group on mines for five years, which is based in South Africa & USA.Prior to that, she worked in underground mines as an underground contractor, and spent around ten years in Operations & Studies roles at the Northparkes copper & gold mine located in Central New South Wales, Australia.

In 1994, Anne graduated from the University of New South Wales as a Mining Engineer. She also holds a New South Wales below Ground Mine Manager's Certificate of Competency, and a Graduate Certificate in Technology Management. Anne, a chartered professional engineer, was awarded Fellow membership from the Australasian Institute of Mining & Metallurgy in 2016. And again, in 2018 she was chosen as the Exceptional Woman in Queensland Resources, and was also honored as one among the WIM 2018 Global 100 Inspirational Women in Mining.
