Uco Bank appoints Ishraq Ali Khan as its new Executive Director
A major government owned commercial, UCO Bank has appointed Ishraq Ali Khan as its Executive Director filling a long vacuum at the top management.
On the same note, the government has appointed AB Vijayakumar as Executive Director in Bank of Maharashtra, along with 12 other chief general managers as Executive Directors in various public sector banks.
Ishraq Ali, who was the chief general manager at Union Bank of India preceding to this new assignment, has taken charge on Wednesday in place of former executive director Charan Singh, who superannuated exactly a year back. Ajay Vyas is another Executive Director at Uco Bank.
Ishraq Ali, aged 57, has over 33 years of experience behind him in the field of banking and information technology. Ishraq is a post graduate in Science from Lucknow University.
Vijayakumar was the chief vigilance officer at Indian Overseas Bank prior to this new role. He had worked in multiple banks including Corporation Bank, Bank of India and Madhya Pradesh Gramin Bank, where he was in the role of chairman.
Vijaykumar has assumed the charge in place of Nageswara Rao Y, who retired on January 21 this year. Hemant Tamta is another Executive Director in Bank of Maharashtra.
