UnionUnion Minister for Electronics and IT, Railways, and I&B Ashwini Vaishnaw will inaugurate the ‘Global IndiaAI Summit 2024’ on July 3 in the national capital, as per a statement from the IT Ministry. The two-day event, scheduled for July 3-4, will also feature Minister of State for Electronics and IT and Commerce and Industry, Jitin Prasad, addressing the gathering.

The summit aims to convene international delegates, AI experts, and policymakers, fostering discussions on the advancement of artificial intelligence (AI). The first day will showcase sessions on critical AI applications and governance, including 'IndiaAI: Large Language Models'. This session will explore the use of advanced AI models to manage India's linguistic diversity while maintaining ethical standards.

Additionally, the ‘GPAI Convening on Global Health and AI’ session will highlight strategies to leverage AI for healthcare in underserved regions, positioning India as a leader in inclusive healthcare innovation.

On the second day, the focus will shift to talent development and scaling AI innovations. The session titled ‘Empowering Talent through AI Education & Skilling’ will address the AI skills gap by presenting educational strategies and career pathways. Concurrently, the 'AI for Global Good: Empowering the Global South' session will promote dialogues on inclusive AI development, aligning with India’s stance on equitable global AI access.

The summit underscores India's commitment to harnessing AI for societal benefit and positioning itself as a pivotal player in the global AI landscape.
