US' MRCC Group Acquires G-Cube, Deal at Rs 100 crore
An US-headquartered MRCC Group has announced acquisition of digital learning firm G-Cube in what it claims is the largest transaction in the corporate learning space in India. People in the know said MRCC paid more than Rs 100 crore for the acquisition.
“As the corporate learning market matures, we envision many more consolidations, nurturing many like-minded mergers in the industry to bring in top value players to the fore,” said Anil Shah, chairman of MRCC Group. Shah did not share any financial details of the deal.
MRCC operates in the IT staffing, corporate learning, educational publishing and digital space in diverse sectors, including aviation, banking, software and healthcare. It has over 1,200 learning projects.
The acquisition will give MRCC access to over 2 million subscribers of G-Cube. “Combining G-Cube’s unparalleled customer service with MRCC’s transformative solutions will support this disruptive corporate learning market. MRCC will continue to leverage this path to improve value for its customers,” said Shah.
G-Cube provides learning management solutions to enterprises across industries, including companies like Lufthansa, Yamaha and Mercedes Benz. Shah said strategic acquisitions strengthen the company’s position as an accredited talent ecosystem provider and customer-centric solutions consultant.
