VMware launches wellbeing allowance of nearly 30K for employees in India
Software company VMware has announced that it will be augmenting its existing wellbeing welfares programme to arm the employees to conscious a more healthy and balanced life. Under the annual settlement programme, all the employees across offices in India will be entitled to an additional wellbeing allowance of Rs 29,565 as equitable compensation. The employees can also choose to apply for the well-being amount to help pay to vaccinate themselves and their family members.
This resourcefulness is the latest offering in VMware’s wellbeing programme portfolio. As the industry moved to a remote work model last year, VMware reconsidered some of its policies to safeguard that teams had help and resources to handle the precisions of the new normal. VMware APJ has a total employee strength of 10,900 people.
The company also announced EPIC2 days, pronouncing four company-wide holidays throughout the year to support the employees switch off and spend time with their families. Besides, it introduced new coaching, therapy, and work-life services (ICAS) programme that caters to the mental and emotional wellbeing of not just the employees but also their dependents. The employees and their families have access to a host of online resources – top therapists, coaches, research-backed therapy, and digital tools 24 hours a day and seven days a week.
