Vodafone Idea names Saurabh Bajaj as EVP of prepaid marketing

Vodafone Idea has onboarded Saurabh Bajaj, a former Britannia executive as the executive vice president (EVP) of Prepaid Marketing.

“Feels great to join another wonderful brand as the Marketing Head for Vi's Pre Paid Business. A new sector to understand, a fabulous team to work with & new challenges to solve,” Bajaj mentioned in Linkedin.

Prior to joining Vi, Bajaj worked at Britannia Industries Limited for five year, and prior to that, he worked at Mondelēz International for 10 years. The executive has also been associated with Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting as Area Sales Manager.

Vodafone Idea’s subscriber base stood at 240 million, at the end of Q1FY23 with an average revenue per user (ARPU) of Rs 128. The telco has a large prepaid subscriber base — accounting for 91.6% of the overall subscribers — or ~219 million prepaid users.

Earlier, media reports had suggested that Vodafone Idea is looking to grow its prepaid subscribers base further.
