(WTL) has engaged in a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with 3DBattery, an Israeli firm, aiming to cooperate in advancing and manufacturing cutting-edge energy storage solutions. This collaboration focuses on harnessing 3DBattery's lithium-ion technology as well as their upcoming sodium-ion advancements. Progression towards a definitive agreement will occur subsequent to a thorough assessment of this partnership. The alliance with 3DBattery aims to empower Waaree Technologies Ltd. to produce high-performance rechargeable energy storage solutions domestically, thereby strengthening its presence within both the Indian and global realms of innovative energy technology.

3DBattery specializes in innovative Lithium-ion battery cells, incorporating advanced chemistry to deliver improved energy storage capabilities. Their expertise covers a range of cell chemistries suitable for Electric Vehicles, Micro Mobility, and Stationary and Renewable Energy applications. Kirit Doshi, the Chairman and Managing Director of the Company, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, "We're thrilled to have 3DBattery join us as a partner. He emphasized the strategic importance of utilizing 3DBattery's lithium-ion and sodium-ion battery technology to establish the capacity for producing 5GWh of battery cells. Doshi stressed the significance of reducing reliance on a single source and diversifying supply chains. He mentioned, "The development of India’s first entirely domestically produced next-gen battery system holds exceptional importance for us. Through this collaboration, Waaree will gain the capability to cater to every facet of the energy storage market, emerging as a significant force in the global transition towards clean energy".
