WAAYU Launches Zero-Commission Food Delivery App on ONDC
WAAYU, India’s trailblazing zero-commission food delivery app, has made its debut on the Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) as a seller marketplace. This milestone signifies a major shift in the food delivery industry by eliminating commission fees, thereby establishing a direct and cost-efficient link between restaurants and their customers.
Since its launch in May 2023, WAAYU has swiftly grown, adding over 3,000 restaurants across major Indian cities like Mumbai, Pune, Jaipur, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad. With its new integration into ONDC, WAAYU is poised to enhance its reach by partnering with leading buyer apps on the network, such as TATA Neu and OLA. This collaboration is expected to increase order volumes and ensure a steady stream of business for WAAYU’s restaurant partners while maintaining a zero-commission delivery model.
The inclusion of major players like Flipkart in the ONDC network, alongside other buyers like Paytm, Tata Neu, and Ola, is likely to further stimulate demand and fortify the ecosystem.
Mandar Lande, CEO and Co-Founder of WAAYU, articulated the app’s mission, “WAAYU is set to transform the food delivery sector by eliminating commission fees, offering a more sustainable and lucrative model for restaurants. With support from national and regional restaurant associations and advanced technology, WAAYU aims to become the go-to app for restaurants”.
Anirudha Kotgire, Managing Director and Co-Founder of WAAYU, emphasized the importance of the ONDC launch, “By joining ONDC, WAAYU reaffirms its dedication to providing a smooth and affordable food delivery experience. This strategic expansion will help extend WAAYU’s zero-commission model to a broader audience, further democratizing the food delivery market in India”.
WAAYU plans to continue expanding its reach across India, leveraging its AI-driven platform to solidify its position as a leader in the food delivery industry.
