WABAG Bags New Orders Totalling Up to Rs.360 Crore

After acquiring new orders totaling about Rs.360 crore, VA TECH WABAG, a prominent Indian multinational in the water technology industry, has further solidified its position in the industrial water treatment sector.
These initiatives appear to highlight WABAG's proficiency in providing important industries with sustainable water solutions.
For the design, building, and management of cutting-edge water treatment facilities at GAIL (India) Limited's petrochemical facility in Pata, Uttar Pradesh, the company is said to have obtained an order valued at around Rs.340 crore.
This is believed to include enlargement of the current WasteWater Treatment Plant, an evaporator-based Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) Plant, and an effluent recycling plant based on Ultra Filtration (UF) and Reverse Osmosis (RO) with a capacity of 450 cum/hr.
After 24 months of engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC), the project will undergo six months of operation and maintenance (O&M).
To ensure effective resource management, the recovered water from this project will be used as cooling tower makeup water.
Furthermore, Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) awarded WABAG a repeat O&M contract for Rs.20 crore for the Tertiary Treatment Reverse Osmosis (TTRO) Plant at the IOCL Panipat Refinery in Haryana.
Nearly 20 years ago, WABAG built and put into service India's first industrial water recycling facility for the oil and gas industry.
This new contract extends the O&M services for a further three years, and WABAG has been running its operations since its founding in 2006.
S. Natrajan, Head-Sales & Marketing, India Cluster, expressed gratitude towards GAIL and IOCL, stating, “We are delighted to have secured these significant industrial water treatment orders and we sincerely thank GAIL and IOCL for their trust and confidence placed in us.
“These repeat orders serve as a powerful testament to the strength of our long-standing customer relationships, as well as to our technical expertise and capabilities”.
