Xiaomi Announces New Technology for Smartphone Batteries
Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has announced a new battery technology for mobile phones.
The new battery technology increases capacity by 10% at the same volume with increased electrode silicon content and improved packaging technology that will control the circuit to contract and bend to sit at the same height as the top of the battery.
According to Xiaomi, the new battery technology will be mass-produced.
This technology in the mobile phones, with 4,000 mAh batteries may be able to pack 4,400 mAh into the same physical space in the future. The new battery technology promises a 10 per cent increase in capacity and volume increase in electrode silicon content and improved packaging technology.
The battery is also equipped with a special “fuel gauge” chip and uses self-developed algorithms to analyze the underlying data for added security.
Xiaomi is also going to launch a new smartphone in India with a fast charge of 120W soon.
