ZEE Studios has named Girish Johar its new Head of Distribution & Revenues, making him a key addition to its leadership team.

With a distinguished career spanning nearly three decades, Johar brings extensive experience and a profound entertainment industry knowledge. His previous roles with major companies such as UTV, Sony, Balaji, PVR, and Sahara have solidified his reputation as a highly regarded expert in film distribution and monetization.

Throughout his career, Johar has been involved with approximately 200 films across multiple languages, including Hindi, English, Marathi, Punjabi, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam. In each of these projects, he has contributed in diverse and impactful roles, consistently enhancing the films' market reach, visibility, and overall financial success, impacting the entertainment industry.

In his new role at ZEE Studios, Johar will oversee film acquisition and global monetization strategies across theatrical, digital, and other distribution platforms. His focus will be on maximizing the value of ZEE Studios' film portfolio in all rights and languages while enhancing the studio’s distribution network and revenue channels.
