Zypp Electric, India’s leading EV-as-a-service platform, is excited to announce the appointment of Mr. Manoj Kohli as Senior Advisor. This strategic move is aimed at bolstering the company’s leadership, further strengthening its position in last-mile delivery, and advancing its IPO vision. With over 45 years of experience across industries such as telecom, renewable energy, EVs, and AI-driven digital technology, Mr. Kohli brings invaluable expertise. His appointment represents a significant milestone for Zypp Electric as it accelerates its mission to transform sustainable last-mile logistics in India.

With a well-illustrious career that spans leadership roles at Bharti Airtel, SoftBank India, and SB Energy, Kohli has a proven track record of scaling businesses globally. As Managing Director and CEO of Bharti Airtel, he spearheaded the company’s expansion to 20 countries across Asia and Africa, growing its customer base to over 400 million and establishing it as the third-largest telecom operator globally. His visionary leadership at SB Energy achieved over 7GW of renewable energy capacity in India and the US, contributing significantly to the green energy revolution.

He most recently served as the Country Head of SoftBank India, overseeing investments totaling $15 billion across 25 AI-focused portfolio companies, including OLA, OYO, Delhivery, Meesho, and Swiggy. As an experienced growth advisor, he guides businesses in executing profitable growth strategies and developing sustainable business models that allow them to scale 10x-20x in India and expand into international markets. He has successfully helped many companies go public and has supported several others in preparing for the same.

Mr. Akash Gupta, Co-founder & CEO of Zypp Electric, said, “I started my early days with Airtel and have heard so many success stories of Mr. Kohli all my life. We at Zypp are super thrilled to welcome Mr. Manoj Kohli to the Zypp Electric family. His extensive experience developing global firms, combined with his enthusiasm for achieving sustainable breakthroughs, will be beneficial as we plan our expansion path. He’s been part of many startup IPOs and as we also plan to take Zypp to IPO over the next 12-24 months, his guidance will improve our sustainability led EV platform and also will help in our goal to promote electric vehicle adoption, optimize fleet solutions, and create a greener, more efficient logistics environment not just for India but beyond”.

Mr. Manoj Kohli said, “Zypp Electric is a leading EV-as-a-Service player in India, at the forefront of innovation in the electric vehicle last mile space, and I am thrilled to be part of this transformative journey to further strengthen their market dominance. My focus as an advisor will be on empowering the leadership team to achieve their ambitious goals while fostering a culture of excellence and integrity. Together, we will work to create a robust framework that not only drives business success but also contributes positively to our communities”.

Zypp Electric has made significant progress in recent years, achieving operational profitability and expanding its electric vehicle fleet. The company has recently completed over 20.5 million emission-free deliveries for quick commerce, with a total of 78 million deliveries across all categories. Under Kohli's guidance, Zypp plans to strengthen its strategic initiatives, accelerate its market expansion, and further reduce carbon emissions through its EV fleet. The company aims to promote eco-friendly logistics solutions across urban areas, with an eye on its IPO within the next 12-24 months.
