Tell us about your professional experience and how has been your journey so far with Grynow Influencers.
I started Grynow Media along with my co-founder back in 2018 while I was in college as one of my summer projects. We were intrigued by the kind of audience platforms like YouTube and Instagram had, which only made us furthermore curious and led us to explore ways to monetize through this audience, and hence Grynow was started.
With a small team of 4-5 Interns, working and living out of our college placement cell, we started Influencer Marketing. We did business of Rs.3,000 from our first deal and since then we have grown into an Annual Recurring Revenue of 2M US dollar.
Talk about the learnings and experience that you acquired from VIT and how you apply them in your current role.
VIT has played an important role in the early stage of my startup because VIT E-Cell head, Dr. Balachandran is genuinely someone who understands the psyche of an entrepreneur. I still remember having a 15 minutes conversation with him which gave me the confidence to trust that I am the
right person to take this idea ahead, and can do it for the rest of my life. I was also lucky enough to hire VITians as interns which helped us a lot in the initial days of Grynow.

Tell us about some major business challenges that you have faced so far. How did you overcome them and what did you learn from them?
When you are growing a startup as a college student in an industry of such huge unexplored potential,
challenges are inevitable. People believe the challenges we face during the process of building a startup are the most difficult ones but I believe the contrary. When you start something, there's always a team behind you from the start helping at every step and growing alongside you. But when the product of that labour has reached a certain momentum and takes a pace of its own, some of those people involved maybe cannot keep up with it which ultimately hinders the growth of the whole project.Letting go of such folks has been the most arduous challenge I've faced bee time, you cannot compromise on what you are building.
How do you maintain the perfect balance between your personal and professional life? Going forward, what are the changes in market behaviour and the opportunities you foresee?
I believe having a deep clarity on what your priorities are and accordingly distributing the time makes it pretty easy to maintain a healthy worklife balance. Everything is within an individual, I see people are always looking for role models and external validations but never into themselves. People fail to realise that the ones who have brought the change in the world are the ones who were different from the crowd and believed in their individuality.
The creator's economy has seen lots of changes in the past four years, with new short videos platform coming and going, and creators getting an enormous audience. Agencies in this field will only grow if they are on their toes and can predict future trends. Short video usergenerated content is coming to the mainstream, and commerce through content is getting accepted by the audience. I feel these two models will be the big thing in the near future. Also, empowering creators by helping them manage their finance, growing their community, boost their income are a few other models that will go big.
