Pharmaceuticals are a class of newly formed organic substances that have improved our quality of life. Pharmaceuticals, both branded and generic, are developed, manufactured, and marketed by the pharmaceutical business. The necessity to treat age-related and chronic diseases as well as improvements in clinical practice have led to an increase in pharmaceutical intake because they improve our quality of life. Due to the rise in global drug demand, market revenues are likewise increasing at a historically high rate.

Stallion Laboratories, founded in 1988 as an integrated privatesector Pharmaceutical Formulation Manufacturer, has established an unrivaled track record of handling specialized pharmaceutical formulations with a WHO GMP authorized manufacturing facility and GLP qualified strict quality control. The path to success is marked by a conviction in originality and a refusal to compromise on job quality.

In an exclusive interview with CEO Insights Magazine, Rutwa Shah walks us through his professional journey along with the unique traits of the company.

Tell us about your professional background and experiences.
Basically, I earned my B Pharma from the LJ Institute of Pharmacy, where I also earned my MBA master's degree in family business. I joined the company in 2012 while also earning my MBA, and because I'm a manufacturer, I initially started working on the shop floor. I therefore began working on the shop floor to better grasp the entire process before switching to become a tech commercial guy. So I'm currently managing both the manufacturing sites and the marketing.
Define Stallion Laboratories as an organization and where is it positioned in the industry?
Based in Ahmedabad, India, Stallion is currently a top pharmaceutical formulation development and production company. Gujarat must have a cutting-edge, ultramodern industrial plant. It currently exports to more than 50 countries, including French speaking nations in West Africa, Southeast Asia, Latin America, South America, and the CIS Pacific islands. Stallion just developed a second manufacturing facility, and the company anticipates that by the first quarter of 2023, they will have passed both the US FDA and UK MHRA inspections. In terms of where we are, excellently situated. And I've established myself firmly in the nations where we export. We rank among the top five exporters to Nigeria and the Philippines. We will continue to dominate our position in new regions, especially with the support of our talented technical and marketing teams.

Striving to eradicate human sufferings through our preventive and curative therapeutics

Reflect on some of the major challenges you have experienced in your journey so far? How did you overcome them and what did you learn from them?
So in essence, strategically, Stallion has been working as a CMO, or contract manufacturing organization, for the local importers of the several nations up until now. Therefore, there has always been a worry that they would switch sides for the manufacturing in order to get better pricing or payment terms. Nevertheless, it has been difficult to overcome the sales processes year after year even when selling has already begun. It is done. It supervises offices around the world, and at the moment, three of those offices- in Nigeria, Vietnam, and Angola- are running. We have a new manufacturing facility, and we have set our sights on the regulated markets of the US and the UK. We are aiming forthe US and UK regulated markets. By 2023, we want to have offices in the US and the UK.
How do you maintain the perfect balance between your personal and professional life? What is your success mantra?
I have always kept a great balance between my personal and professional lives by having the idea that I will give anything. It can be difficult at times, and I understand that since it's a reality of life. My success credo is to always deliver and demonstrate my commitment to morality and hard work without worrying about the outcome.

Could you tell me about the factors you take into consideration while suggesting your products.
We have IMS data for both the country and the region. So, whenever a client suggests a product, we simply look up the IMS data for that specific product in that specific region and suggest the products that are going to be hot sellers in that particular region in the next two to three years. So that we may recommend the product to our clients, we use IMS as our database.

Could you tell me about your leadership and governance approach? What are the guidelines you follow as a leader to lead your team?
All it takes is effort and consistency, nothing more, nothing less. Because I consistently do well day in and day out, they perceive me as a leader whenever a new recruit or an old employee shows up. I am also seen as the first thing that any nation opens. I'm the first to attract customers and recommend the product. Following that, they proceed along the path.

Going forward, what are your goals that you wish to invest in and how do you plan to take them further?
As a result, we are developing a new Greenfield project while considering the market and prospects for thepharmaceutical industry, which I work in. We intend to move forward with a metered dose medical device, especially for people with COPD and natural diseases. Telmex's prefilled, pre-filled syringes. Therefore, that is what we will invest in moving forward.
