He began his journey in the pharmaceutical sector in 1986 through Lupin and has been associated with the association for 28+ years in various leadership positions and at various divisions. At Lupin, he has a significant track record in scaling up the business and in providing significant growth opportunities to numerous employees. His key transformational changes revolved around customers and strategies that were implemented keeping in mind the interest of patients.

With hands-on experience in spearheading businesses through the phase of their transformational growth, Vinay embarked on the entrepreneurial journey with five other expert professionals in the year 2015 and established Eris Oaknet Healthcare. Ever since then, he has been a Member of Oaknet Management Committee leading the Dermatology portfolio consisting of two Strategic Business Units as Business Division Head and building strategies & systems that are aligned with people. Vinay is a distinguished leader combining tremendous experience & expertise in varied domains and significant
achievements. His vision for the organization is to position it as one of the fastest-growing Derma Tx in the Indian Pharmaceutical Market.

Having over three decades of professional experience, what pushes you forward today as an industry leader? What is your motivation?
Being able to lead the Dermatology portfolio at Eris Oaknet Healthcare bringing together a variety of experiences and skill sets to set up teams and then watching those teams achieve their goals acts as the greatest motivation. It also keeps motivating me to improve how we operate things and drive my teams to achieve bigger objectives. It is extremely satisfying to look back at our growth journey and how we made it to be ranked among the top 10 dermatology companies in our covered market with four of our derma brands being ranked amongst the top five in their respective segments.

How would you define Eris Oaknet Healthcare as an organization? What is your approach to the quality management of your products?
We are one of the fastest-growing and most prominent players in dermatology. This is due to the kind of brands and equity we have brought into dermatology over some time. We have been able to develop new theories in dermatology with our innovative brands in skincare and cosmecare which have created a great impact on the minds of dermatologists and built a strong image of our brands in the market.

At Eris Oaknet Healthcare, our priority is our quality products. That’s why we are committed to continuous improvement be it in our processes, manufacturing techniques, research methodology, or products. Our Quality Management System provides a framework for measuring and improving our performance across multiple variables.
Tell us about your leadership approach, and the methodologies you follow to lead your team. What is your success mantra?
I believe, today’s generation is quite intelligent from the very beginning and we, as leaders, should know how to empower them by delegating appropriately and understanding them as well as making them understand how things are done. Our whole agenda, as leaders, must be to help our team to be successful, both at the personal and organizational levels.

What is the future destination you are heading towards?
The vision that drives Eris Oaknet Healthcare forward is to build a sustainable, scalable, and specialty-focused pharmaceutical company. With that vision, we aspire to place ourselves among the top five dermatology companies in the country.

In light of your strong experience, what advice would you give to budding industry leaders?
In my opinion, excellent customer experiences are a key driver of every business value. This goes for pharma industries as well. Pharmaceutical leaders must always focus on their basics their customers, retailers, and products. They must know the differentiating factors that can create greater value and implement them to be able to place a successful position in the market.
