"On this International Women’s Day, I want to celebrate the remarkable contributions of women across industries while also recognising the challenges that still persist in leadership representation.

Despite progress, the “broken rung” in career advancement continues to hinder women from reaching leadership positions at the same pace as their male counterparts. Whether in business, technology, finance, or any other sector, women often face structural barriers that limit their growth—not due to a lack of capability, but due to a lack of opportunities and advocacy.

It is time for organisations to take intentional action—ensuring fair promotion policies, expanding mentorship and sponsorship programs, and creating leadership pathways that truly support gender balance.

Diversity in leadership is not just about representation; it is about bringing varied perspectives to the table, fostering inclusive decision-making, and driving ethical, sustainable progress.

To all women professionals: Keep pushing boundaries, advocating for yourself and others, and seizing every opportunity for growth. The future of leadership needs you."
