Lighting New Pathways: Young Women Leaders Echo Experience

Muskan Salgia, Vice President at CasaDigi
In India today, many women are educated, have business ideas, and aspire to join the workforce, yet they often struggle with where to begin. This is a critical issue that needs to be addressed.
The challenge of taking the first step—whether due to a lack of experience, career gaps, or uncertainty about available opportunities—makes the journey from zero to one particularly difficult. However, once they cross that initial hurdle, they have the skills and systems to progress further.
Empowerment today must focus on creating pathways for women to start their careers or businesses with confidence.
While educational institutions equip them with knowledge, and many actively upskill themselves, the real challenge lies in translating that into tangible opportunities.
This gap can be bridged through mentorship programs, peer communities, networking events, and structured support systems. The key is to ensure that women can pursue their aspirations—whether launching a home business or re-entering the workforce—while achieving financial independence and professional fulfillment.”
