What were your key takeaways from your academic experience, and what valuable insights did you gain from your time on campus that went beyond the classroom?
I finished my Post Graduate Program in logistics and supply chain management from XLRI Jamshedpur. The extensive expertise of the faculty and the pedagogy based on case studies profoundly influenced my learning. Besides the core academic curriculum, I deeply appreciated the diverse peer network from various industry sectors and the collective wisdom of the cohort, which greatly enriched my learning experience.
As the Managing Director, how do you approach driving the strategic growth of the company?
To thrive in any market, it's crucial to develop a deep understanding of the business landscape, the needs, and challenges of our customers in the healthcare sector and their patients as well as regulatory frameworks. Assessing the ongoing challenges faced by our government in terms of health care needs and identifying service gaps that align with the company's strengths are equally important. I aim to direct sales and marketing initiatives towards growing needs, gaining market traction, and achieving commercial success. Additionally, I prioritize forging growth oriented partnerships and enhancing the company's brand presence in the Indian market.
How do you prioritize patient data safety and privacy while stream- lining clinical workflow?
Ensuring the utmost security and privacy of patient data is our topmost concern. Our clinical communication software Bleepa, recognized as a medical device, adheres strictly to global information security standards such as ISO 27001 and Cyber Security Plus. Moreover, our cloud-based platform is fully compliant with GDPR regulations and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, guaranteeing robust data protection measures. What sets us apart with Bleepa is that it is meticulously designed with multiple layers of security. It requires password authentication, employs end to-end encryption, prohibits data sharing outside the application, and incorporates a comprehensive feature for managing patient consent for clinical photo capture, ensuring complete confidentiality and integrity of sensitive medical information.
Could you elaborate on the specific areas in India where you aim to implement Bleepa to drive meaningful change ?
In India, the burden of tuberculosis (TB) remains staggering, with 2.8 million cases reported in 2022 and a mortality rate of 342,000. Prime Minister Modi aims to eradicate TB from India by 2025, five years ahead of the UN's 2030 target. However, TB screening coverage is only at 16 percent of the population. Bleepa, our leading clinical communication platform, facilitates live clinical review of X-ray images from rural areas, essential for scaling the screening program to meet Modi's goal.
Bleepa recently won the 2024 IHW Council Gold award for its TB screening platform. Additionally, ensuring patient data security is crucial under the Personal Digital Data Protection Act 2023, with penalties up to 250 crores for non-compliance. Current clinical communication practices using public platforms like WhatsApp risk non-compliance. Bleepa offers a secure solution for clinical communication, aligning with regulatory requirements and safeguarding patient data. Embracing this technology represents a pivotal moment for the healthcare sector, enabling compliance and data security while facilitating clinical communication.
With over 15 years of experience in the healthcare sector, what are the key best practices you impart to your team for innovating technology products that meet clinical needs?
Innovation must be driven by market demand. While impressive innovation lacking market necessity often results in commercial failure, moderate innovation that aligns with market needs can lead to significant commercial success. Unfortunately, technology innovators sometimes neglect this aspect, hindering the commercialization of their innovations. In the healthcare sector, it's essential to thoroughly understand users' needs and pain points, ensuring that technology is user-friendly and intuitive. Additionally, it must adhere to the highest standards of data security and quality parameters.
In what way do you characterize your leadership style in cultivating an environment conducive to innovation within the healthcare realm?
I prioritize forging growth-oriented partner-ships & enhancing the com-pany's brand pre-sence in the indian market

In what way do you characterize your leadership style in cultivating an environment conducive to innovation within the healthcare realm?
I advocate for nurturing an environment of innovation and fostering a mindset open to incremental changes. This approach aims to cultivate a healthcare ecosystem that is inclusive, accessible, equitable, safe, secure, and affordable. This philosophy aligns with the vision of my current company, Feedback Medical, which aims to unlock data and knowledge across disparate healthcare IT systems, facilitating improved workflows for clinicians to collaborate and make optimal healthcare decisions for their patients.
I was deeply honored to receive recognition for my leadership efforts. The World Innovation Congress honored me with the Innovation Leadership Award, while the HEAL Foundation bestowed upon me the Healthcare Change maker Under 45 Award.
What specific impacts do you envision your self making in the future?
There are two pivotal moments on the horizon for the Indian healthcare sector. Firstly, India holds the unfortunate title of being the Tuberculosis capital of the world. The Government of India is aiming to eradicate TB in the country by 2025, a goal that precedes the UN's target of ending TB globally by 2030. Secondly, with the enactment of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act in 2023, there will be a significant transformation in communi-cation practices within the healthcare sector. Until now, the prevalent use of public messaging platforms has posed a silent threat to the safety and security of patients' personal health data.
My focus is on advocating for Feedback Medical's innovative clinical and medical imaging communication technology, Bleepa, which also has the capability to integrate with AI tools. This pioneering platform offers scalable solutions for both of the aforementioned challenges. I firmly believe that widespread adoption of this technology has the potential to make a substantial positive impact in achieving these landmark milestones in the history of Indian healthcare.
Given your extensive professional experience in the field, what advice would you offer to emerging industry leaders?
We are navigating through a VUCA (volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity) world, where the traditional norms of leadership that once thrived may not be as applicable in the current landscape. Today's era revolves around data, global connectivity, and cutting-edge technologies such as generative AI and deep machine learning. Leadership is no longer solely determined by age or experience, but rather by the ability to swiftly adapt to disruptive industry changes, embrace the perspectives of younger talent brimming with innovative ideas and modern skills, and foster a culture of continuous learning, resilience, and innovation within the organization. These qualities are the true indicators of successful leadership in today's dynamic environment.
