NSDC Launches Future Skills Center in Kalaburagi, Karnataka

TheThe National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) has partnered with Ethnotech Academic Solutions Pvt Ltd to launch the Centre for Future Skills in Kalaburagi, Karnataka. The initiative aims to enhance the proficiency of youth in future skills by blending traditional education with modern learning methods. Aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the center focuses on bridging the skill gap and improving internship and employability prospects. The platform provides an environment for acquiring futuristic skills, enabling individuals to attain global recognition and certification in their chosen domains.

The Centre for Future Skills will also contribute to advancing digital skills in India by offering short-term, fee-based certification courses in emerging technologies like AI, ML, Robotics, etc. The collaboration with global corporations such as Microsoft, CISCO, AWS, Schneider, among others, emphasizes the importance of industry partnerships. The center prioritizes collaboration with industry experts to provide a comprehensive learning experience, preparing students for the constantly evolving global landscape.

Subhas Sarkar, Minister of State for Higher Education, Government of India, expressed the significance of the initiative, stating that skill development centers focusing on cutting-edge technologies play a crucial role in aligning with the goal of positioning India as a global hub of skilled human resources.

The initiative reflects the principles outlined in the NEP, emphasizing a comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach that combines theoretical knowledge with practical skills. NSDC, actively collaborating with various institutions, partners, business leaders, and financial intermediaries, remains dedicated to introducing innovative products for the holistic and sustainable growth of the skill ecosystem.
