Zepto Drives Ganesh Chaturthi Sales with Surge in Festive Treats and Eco-Friendly Idols
Zepto, the rapidly growing consumer internet company in India, is revolutionizing Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations with a significant increase in festive sales. The company has reported impressive sales figures, with 1,500 ready-made modaks and 500 modak moulds sold every hour. This surge highlights a growing consumer preference for both traditional and convenient festive items.
Bengaluru leads the charge in sweet-related orders, contributing 25% of all sales, followed by Mumbai at 18%, Delhi NCR at 17%, Hyderabad at 12%, and Chennai at 6%. These figures reflect regional preferences that are shaping retail trends during the festival.
In line with its commitment to sustainability, Zepto has also sold over 10,000 eco-friendly Ganesh idols across the country. Partnering with Svasti, a vendor specializing in environmentally friendly idols, Zepto supports more than 100 local artisans, promoting greener celebrations nationwide.
The company’s offerings include a close competition between laddoos and flowers, with 6,312 kg of laddoos and 6,860 kg of flowers sold. Both items remain crucial to the festive experience.
